The Organyc® brand of 100% Certified Organic Cotton period-care, adult care, beauty care and baby care products today announced an expanded partnership with Plastics for Change™, the world’s largest source of fair-trade recycled plastic.

The collaboration, now in its second year, launches a new initiative to heal the earth, collecting, recycling, and reusing plastic waste, including for the first-time low value plastic. Low value plastic is particularly difficult to recycle, and Plastics for Change™ is one of the few entities in the world to pioneer this effort.

Giorgio Mantovani, CEO of the Personal Care Division of Milan based Corman, the owner of the Organyc® brand, remarked, “For over 75 years Corman has held respect for the earth as a pillar of our business practice. We believe that the definition of Eco-Kindness™ must move from doing no harm, to an effort to undue the harm done. We look for others who share this philosophy. We are very pleased to partner with Plastics for Change™.”

Plastics for Change™ was created out of need to remove plastic waste from the environment while creating a better life for the women who collect the waste. Plastics for Change™ ensures that collectors receive fair compensation while undertaking initiatives to provide better housing, healthcare and futures for these individuals and their families.

Shrestha Sharma head of brand relationships for Plastics for Change™ noted, “The Organyc® brand approached us in 2022. We are very selective about the brands with whom we collaborate. Our mission is important. Organyc® and their Expect Respect® promise, including respect for the planet, are very much in concert with our goals to lift the world and to lift the women at the heart of plastic clean up. Organyc® and Plastics for Change are a natural fit.”

The Organyc® brand was created in 2008 to meet the needs of women who suffer from skin irritation as a result of using products made with man-made ingredients. Organyc® brand products feature 100% certified organic cotton and are manufactured in Milan, Italy at Corman’s innovation center, where natural, solar, and geothermal energy is utilized.

Chiara Poggio marketing manager for Europe and the Middle East summarized, “We believe that as we build our brand in the 50 countries in which we operate, success means more than just growing sales. The Organyc® brand and Plastics for Change® are working to create an environment that heals the earth. A global goal for which we all can agree.”
